Best FPL Forwards 2023/24
Budget FPL Forwards
Dominic Solanke – Bournemouth (£6.5m)
Bournemouth defied all expectations to comfortably stay up in England’s top-flight last season and the sacking of Gary O’Neil followed by the appointment of former Rayo Vallecano boss Andoni Iraola is a statement of intent from the Cherries that they plan to progress even further.
Dominic Solanke (£6.5m) tallied the sixth-most fantasy points amongst forwards last season (130), scoring six and assisting seven in 33 appearances – doing a bit of everything whilst leading the line for the South Coast side.
The 25-year-old looks a bargain at £6.5m if Bournemouth can continue moving in the right direction. Solanke won’t be short of support up front as the Cherries bolstered their attack with the signings of Justin Kluivert and Romain Faivre.
Taiwo Awoniyi – Nottingham Forest (£6.5m)
Taiwo Awoniyi looks set to take on a more regular and consistent role in the Nottingham Forest XI this season ahead of Brennan Johnson’s expected departure and proved great value by scoring ten goals in just 17 starts for the Reds.
The Nigerian scored six goals in Forest’s final four games of the season to confirm their survival and has shown his worth to Steve Cooper as the man to lead the line at the City Ground.
He racked up 100 fantasy points in a limited role but now with heaver weight on his shoulders, Awoniyi should thrive and looks a bargain at £6.5m.

Mid-Range FPL Forwards
Ollie Watkins – Aston Villa (£8.0m)
Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins was the fourth-most prolific fantasy forward last season, earning 175 points across the campaign with 15 goals and six assists in 37 appearances for the Villans.
The 27-year-old has hit double digit goals in every Premier League season he’s played in so far and is only improving with Villa now a European side and set to compete in the Europa Conference League later this year.
Watkins appears to be a solid mid-range FPL forward at £8.0m and should provide managers with a reliable and consistent option up front.
Darwin Nunez – Liverpool (£7.5m)
Darwin Nunez has taken Roberto Firmino’s number nine shirt at Liverpool and looks set to lead the line for the Reds this season following an intriguing debut campaign in the English top-flight.
In just 19 starts under Jurgen Klopp, Nunez tallied nine goals and three assists to earn 100 fantasy points. He’s had a fantastic pre-season, scoring four goals in four games and his potential is sky-high.
The £85m man showed glimpses of a special talent last season and will only improve as he continues to adjust to life in Liverpool and move further along the learning curve.

Premium FPL Forwards
Harry Kane – Tottenham Hotspur (£12.5m)
If Harry Kane’s proposed move to Bayern Munich falls through, then he’s a fantastic option to have as a premium forward on FPL this year. The 30-year-old is one of the greatest goalscorers the Premier League has ever seen and sits second in the all-time list behind only Alan Shearer.
Kane bagged 30 goals last season and accumulated 263 fantasy points. He’s scored at least 20 goals in the ten Premier League campaigns of his career to date and is a sure bet to carry your FPL team to glory with goals galore.
Erling Haaland – Manchester City (£14.0m)
In his first Premier League season, Erling Haaland scored a record 36 goals in 35 games to win the Golden Boot and netted 52 goals, a record for a Manchester City player, in 53 games in all competitions whilst winning the treble.
At £14.0m, he’s the most expensive player in the game but boasts 86.6% ownership (first amongst forwards) and is hard to leave out. The Norwegian is just 23 years of age and will continue to get better every season, which is a scary prospect for the league.
