Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have reportedly opened talks with Brentford over the possibility of signing wantaway goalkeeper David Raya this summer.
After failing to secure moves to Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, David Raya may have finally found his way out of Brentford with Bayern Munich now interested.
The Bundesliga champions are reported to be exploring a deal for the Spanish goalkeeper, whilst the Bees hope to earn upwards of £40million for his exit.
Of course, it was Brentford’s huge asking price that dissuaded both the Red Devils and Spurs from pursuing a move for the stopper, therefore a deal likely won’t be straightforward for the Bavarians.
This comes from Fabrizio Romano, who claims that the interest comes as Inter look to sign current Bayern goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
“Understand Bayern have started talks to explore David Raya deal. He’s one of the options in the list as new goalkeeper.” Romano tweeted.
“Brentford always wanted around £40m fee for Raya, not an easy deal — Bayern are showing interest.
“[Yann] Sommer remains Inter priority as new goalkeeper; not [Emiliano] Dibu Martínez.”

The Brentford hierarchy have already prepared for Raya’s departure, therefore they can hold out for their valued £40million in order to sell.
Mark Flekken arrived from Freiburg earlier in the window, and is likely to become their number one in the Premier League next season.
Flekken is one of four signings so far for the Bees during this window, having also acquired Ji-Soo Kim from Seongnam, Nathan Collins from Wolves, and Kevin Schade permanently from Freiburg having spent last term on loan at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The Bees have recently been linked with a move for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – who is available on a free transfer after being released by Liverpool, whilst also being linked with a big money move for Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson.
