Bayern Munich are reportedly in the final stages of negotiations with Napoli defender, Kim Min-Jae, after agreeing personal terms with the 26-year-old.

The Bundesliga side are in the process of sealing their first signing of the summer, as Kim Min-Jae has snubbed a move to Manchester United and is set to sign for the German champions.

Erik ten Hag’s side had been linked with the Napoli defender, however, United’s attention turned to the signing of Mason Mount.

Bayern Munich clinched their 11th consecutive league title on the final day of the Bundesliga season and maintained their throne in Germany.

Borussia Dortmund were one win away from clinching the trophy, however, a 2-2 draw with Mainz 05 on the final day ended any dream of winning the league title once again.

Despite this, Thomas Tuchel will look back on the campaign with disappointment as his side were eliminated from the Champions League and DFB Pokal in emphatic fashion.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager was appointed earlier this year after Julian Nagelsmann’s surprise departure and Tuchel was unable to turn things around.

A lack of success in cup competitions has made summer signings a priority and the signing of Kim Min-Jae could prove monumental in the upcoming campaign.

The Bavarians are prepared to trigger his £42million release clause that activates on July 1 and the South Korean international could be part of Bayern’s pre-season plans.

Making 45 appearances for the Serie A side, Kim Min-Jae has been on a meteoric rise and is now one of the highest rated defenders in Europe.

Bayern are set to add further players to Tuchel’s squad next season, as Spurs captain, Harry Kane, has been rumoured with a move away from the Premier League.

The Bundesliga giant saw an initial bid of £70m rejected and the English side are reportedly demanding £85m for their leading marksman.
