Arsenal take on Manchester City in a Premier League grudge match this Wednesday and the pundits have had their say, with former Arsenal and City right back Bacary Sagna predicting a draw between the top two in the Premier League.

We are witnessing one of the closest Premier League seasons that we have seen in recent years and on Wednesday night first placed Arsenal play host to Manchester City, who are chasing the Gunners with a three point gap between the sides.

Bacary Sagna enjoyed time in both Manchester and London during his career and the former pro has had his say on Wednesday’s game, with the Frenchman predicting the points to be shared at the Emirates.

“I see Arsenal bouncing back from the FA Cup game, they’ll put pressure on Manchester City and will want to extend their point gap.

“The fans will support the team from the start all the way to the end because they know the importance of the game. There’s more pressure on Arsenal than Manchester City because they are top of the league.

“Manchester City will try to keep the possession of the ball, but Arsenal have the speed and quality to give them pressure. Both coaches will know how each one wants to play, tactically it will be very interesting. I think it will be 2-2, which suits Arsenal.”

Arsenal have the chance to move six points clear at the top on Wednesday night however a win for City would mean that Arsenal would drop to second in the league with a game in hand still yet to play.

“There’s going to be tension until the end of the season because City won’t give up, they will try their best to come back and catch up Arsenal,” Sagna said.

“That starts with this game. It will be a tight game and very important, mostly for City because it could be a clincher for Arsenal so City know they need to win.”
