Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is reportedly prioritising a move to Juventus this summer despite receiving interest from multiple Saudi Pro League sides.

After revealing that Thomas Partey is receiving Saudi Pro League interest on Wednesday, Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that the Ghanaian midfielder is prioritising a move to Juventus.

The football transfer specialist has cited Partey’s ambition to remain in Europe as his reasoning for holding a move to the Serie A over a move to the Middle East.

It was said that several Saudi Pro League sides were prepared to pay €40million in instalments to secure the 30-year-old’s transfer.

Arsenal are said to be prepared for Partey’s exit with no progress made in talks over a new deal. However, no official proposals have yet been made.

Romano revealed the latest Partey update on his Twitter account on Thursday afternoon.

“Understand Thomas Partey considers Juventus as priority, he hopes to stay in Europe — talks will follow as there’s still no official proposal.” he tweeted.

“Arsenal are prepared to let Thomas go but important proposal will be needed after Saudi approaches.”

Partey is one of many Premier League stars who have been linked with a Saudi move.

Several Chelsea players have been linked with moves in recent weeks, with N’Golo Kante’s move to Al-Ittihad now confirmed.

The likes of Hakim Ziyech, Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy are all reportedly close to completing moves too.

However a move to Saudi no longer looks likely for Partey, who looks set to follow in Heung-min Son’s footsteps.

Son rejected an approach Al-Ittihad earlier this week in favour of remaining with Tottenham.
