Arsenal’s Champions League odds have taken a blow this week, after the Gunners fell short against an impressive Lens side in France on Tuesday evening.
Arenal kicked off the game with a fantastic start, as Gabriel Jesus put the Gunners in front in just under 15 minutes with his second Champions League goal in as many weeks.
Unfortunately for Arsenal they couldn’t hold on to their lead, with Lens responding with a quick equaliser as the French side capitalised on a David Raya error to level the scores midway through the first half.
Things went from bad to worse for the Gunners just after the Lens equaliser, as Arsenal starboy Bukayo Saka was forced off the pitch with a concerning looking injury.

After Saka left the field the visitors never seemed to have control of the game again and Lens made their pressure finally count with just 20 minutes left to play.
A superb team move was finished off by Elye Wahi, who swept a shot confidently into the corner of the goal to hand the hosts all three points on matchday two.

PSV and Sevilla drew 2-2 in the other game in group B, which does help Arsenal out as the Gunners now sit in second just one point behind Lens after two games played.
