Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Portuguese winger, Pedro Neto, despite Wolverhampton Wanderers setting a ‘£50m’ asking price on the 23-year-old.

The Gunners are enjoying their best season in over two decades, with Mikel Arteta guiding his side through a title race against his former side, Manchester City.

Guardiola’s side look set to win their third consecutive league title, as the Cityzens sit two points behind Arsenal but have two games in hand on their title-chasing counterparts.

Key signings have helped Arteta’s side reach their full potential, with Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko being stand-out players since signing from Man City in the summer.

Arsenal were also busy in the January transfer window, where they signed Jorginho and Leandro Trossard, with the Belgian winger already leading the way in assists.

Arteta’s side have boasted an impressive attacking output this year, as they are the only club to have four players who have scored 10 or more goals in the Premier League.

With signings being pivotal to the club’s successful campaign, rumours over the club’s activity in the summer window have started to circulate.

One player that the side from north London are reportedly keen on, is Wolves winger, Pedro Neto. The Portugal international has been an exciting prospect since signing back in 2019.

The 2022-23 season has been a difficult period for the Wolves winger, missing 13 Premier League games through injury. Meaning any potential signing comes with a huge risk and raises concern over the ‘£50m’ asking price.

During his spell in the Midlands, Neto has made 109 appearances and contributed to 23 goals. Whilst not being a prolific record, the former Lazio star has shown his ability going forward.

The Gunners had reportedly enquired about the 23-year-old earlier this season, however they were put off by the huge transfer fee that Wolves had set.

However, with Arteta setting his sights on a new winger, the club may be willing to make a move for Neto, to bolster their squad, as they return to the Champions League next season.
