Arsenal’s odds of winning the Premier League have been priced at 10/11, following their 1-0 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium this afternoon.

Mikel Arteta dropped Eddie Nketiah to the bench for their trip to Leicester this afternoon, with Leandro Trossard leading the line for the Gunners.

Leicester looked to be dealing well with Trossard in the early stages of the match, but for the Belgian to open the scoring with a wonder-strike for the league-leaders.

Arsenal’s celebrations were short-lived however, as VAR disallowed the goal due to a foul on Foxes goalkeeper Danny Ward – reverting the score back to 0-0.

Arteta’s side were well on top for the remainder of the first-half, but struggled to create any clear cut chances. Both sides went in at the break with a goalless scoreline.

The Gunners came out firing in the second-half. Gabriel Martinelli notched his second goal in as many games to open the scoring after 46 minutes at the King Power Stadium.

Bukayo Saka thought he had the Gunners’ second after 55 minutes but for Martinelli to be offside in the buildup of the goal.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall tried his luck from distance as he searched for a leveller for Leicester, but the Englishman’s strike flew well wide of the mark.

Arsenal held on for the remainder of the second-half – securing a mighty victory in the Premier League title race.

The Gunners move five points clear of Manchester City with this victory, as Pep Guardiola’s side take on Bournemouth later this afternoon.

Up next for Arsenal is a home tie against Premier League relegation-battlers Everton.
