League leaders Arsenal missed a penalty and blew a two-goal lead as West Ham United mounted an unlikely comeback in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. After the 2-2 draw at the London Stadium, we’re taking a look at the latest Arsenal title odds.

Story Of The Game

The table-topping Gunners got off to the perfect start in East London after Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring from close range after seven minutes. Just three minutes later Martin Odegaard volleyed the visitors into a two-goal lead finishing off another lovely move.

It was an ideal start for Mikel Arteta’s side however the game was far from over after ten minutes. The hosts ended up pulling a goal back when Said Benrahma converted from the penalty spot. West Ham got that penalty after a Thomas Partey mistake forced Gabriel into fouling fellow Brazilian Lucas Paqueta.

Arsenal went into half-time 2-1 up knowing that the Hammers would come out of the blocks flying in the second half.

Coming into the second half Arsenal were on top once again and were awarded a penalty just seven minutes after play had restarted. Michail Antonio was penalised after handling the ball in the penalty box, with the Gunners then having the chance to go into another two-goal lead.

In a big pressure moment Bukayo Saka stepped up and surprisingly put his effort wide.

The crowd went wild as Saka scuffed his penalty, and just two minutes later West Ham were level. Jarrod Bowen expertly volleyed home after a long ball from Thilo Kehrer. With the scores level at 2-2, Arsenal were under immense pressure, and certainly on the back foot.

Antonio nearly turned the hero as he hit the crossbar with nine minutes to go. In the end the game finished 2-2, and it was a huge two points dropped for the Gunners.

It’s the second week in a row where Arteta’s side have failed to hold on to a two-goal advantage and there’s every chance it’ll prove costly come the end of the season.
