Arsenal have been dealt a blow for the remainder of the season, as Gabriel Martinelli will reportedly miss the Gunners’ final two matches of the campaign.
With Manchester City looking almost certain to retain their Premier League title, and Arsenal’s Champions League qualification confirmed – the Gunners have little to play for other than pride.
Saturday will see Mikel Arteta’s side play their penultimate game of the season, away at Nottingham Forest, before drawing their league campaign to a close at the Emirates against Wolves.
However, their season isn’t going to end without fresh injury concerns.
Both Gabriel Martinelli and Oleksandr Zinchenko were marked as doubts for their final two games, with the former now reportedly being confirmed as unavailable for the matches.
Martinelli sustained an ankle injury after just 20 minutes in the defeat to Brighton, whilst Zinchenko came off with a calf issue against Newcastle.

Arsenal Injury News
Of course, three confirmed to be on the treatment table prior to Martinelli and Zinchenko’s injuries were William Saliba, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Mohamed Elneny.
The club had previously confirmed that the latter two would be out for the remainder of the season, but held hope for Saliba’s return.
Although Arteta refused to rule out Saliba for the rest of the campaign, it looks unlikely that he will have any involvement in the final two matches.
And it looks to have gone from bad to worse for Arteta now, with David Ornstein reporting that Martinelli will miss Arsenal’s last two games.
“Gabriel Martinelli will miss final 2 Arsenal games through injury. Suffered ankle ligament damage in Sunday’s loss to Brighton.” Ornstein tweeted.
“21yo Brazil winger ruled out for a number of weeks but should return for pre-season ahead of new campaign.”
