Jesse Marsch has officially been sacked by Leeds United. The American manager has been relieved of his duties following a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground yesterday.
Leeds Utd Sack Jesse Marsch
Premier League club Leeds United have confirmed the sacking of Jesse Marsch.
Marsch took over the club last season, succeeding Marcelo Bielsa as head coach of the Yorkshire giants. However, his time at Elland Road has been cut short after a bad result this weekend as well as sitting just outside the relegation zone in the Premier League table.

Leeds currently sit in 17th place in the Premier League, level on points with Everton who are currently in the relegation zone.
The Elland Road club have won just four of their 20 Premier League fixtures so far this season. It comes as no surprise to see Marsch relieved of his duties following a poor campaign so far.
The American coach did bring in some stellar names during the January transfer window, but will not be given the chance to work with them properly as he has today been officially sacked as the head coach of the football club.

The likes of Wesley McKinnie, Georginio Rutter, Maximilian Wöber and Diogo Monteiro were all brought in during the January transfer window by Marsch. The former Red Bull Salzburg manager spent roughly £40 million during the mid season transfer window. However, unfortunately for him he won’t be able to work with his new signings anymore after being relieved of his duties.
