Allan Saint-Maximin is set to leave Newcastle this summer, with Al Ahli submitting a €25m bid for the French winger on Tuesday night.
Saint-Maximin became a fan favourite at St. James Park over the last four years and he will be sorely missed next season after making the popular move to Saudi Arabia this summer.
Newcastle are set to let their man go for the same amount they paid to Nice in 2019, as Al Ahli will sign Saint-Maximin for just €25m.
According to manager Eddie Howe, the Magpies need to sell players in this window before they can bring any new signings in to comply with Financial Fair Play rules.

Speaking after Newcastle’s 2-1 win over Rangers in pre season yesterday, Howe spoke about his regrets of letting Saint-Maximin leave but said he had no choice in the matter.
“Allan is in discussions regarding a move to another club. Nothing is confirmed and nothing is done. It is still early stages [and] that is why he isn’t here today.
“With financial fair play you have to trade, otherwise for us this summer you’re stuck and we couldn’t recruit players the other way.
“Maxi is a top player, we don’t want to lose him, we want to strengthen the group. But sometimes these things happen and we have to accept that and it is early to speak about Maxi in the past tense at Newcastle, but our respect and love for him is the same as the supporters.”
Newcastle have already signed Sandro Tonali for £55m this summer and are expected to sign Harvey Barnes once Saint-Maximin leaves, but they cannot sign the Leicester player until some of their players are sold.

Saint-Maximin’s flare has lit up the Premier League in the last four years and he will be sorely missed by Newcastle and their fans when he leaves in the coming weeks.
The 26-year-old struggled last season with a hamstring injury, that meant Saint-Maximin started just 12 league games in a difficult season.
