Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho appears to have liked posts on Twitter claiming that he shouldn’t be starting in the Premier League.

Alejandro Garnacho made his third Premier League start for Manchester United, in their 2-2 draw with Leeds United yesterday evening.

The young Argentine came into the line-up in place of Antony, who picked up an injury ahead of the derby match.

Marcus Rashford played on the right-hand side to accommodate Garnacho, before the youngster was hauled off for Jadon Sancho in the 59th minute.

His performance drew plenty of criticisms on different social media channels, with many citing that the 18-year-old isn’t ready to be starting in the Premier League.

Clearly noticing the criticisms, Garnacho liked two tweets claiming that he shouldn’t be starting for Man Utd in the Premier League.

Manchester United fan ‘Zee’ tweeted: “1. (Marcus) Rashford either plays upfront or LW – playing him RW cost us today. 2. Our midfield depth is a joke – we ended up with Fred and (Victor) Lindelof in midfield. 3. Garnacho not ready to be a starter. 4. (Jadon) Sancho looked great – should start next game. 5. Fred had an absolute shocker.”

Garnacho liked the tweet, but then quickly removed his like, removing the post from his list of liked tweets.

The forward then liked another tweet which included a similar suggestion for Erik ten Hag.

Man Utd fan ‘@_Kwame_Jnr’ said: “Garnacho is not fit to start Premier League games. I’ve seen enough.”

Similarly to the previous post, the Spanish-born youngster liked the tweet, and then unliked it just minutes later.

It’s not the first time Garnacho has done this either. After not being selected for the Argentina World Cup squad, the youngster liked a tweet suggesting his omission was due to him being ‘Spanish’, before quickly unliking once again.

Up next for United is the reverse fixture of last night’s game.

They travel to Elland Road on Sunday afternoon, as they remain third in the Premier League table.

Erik ten Hag’s side are now priced at around 20/1 to be crowned champions, on Premier League betting sites.
