Earlier today, Liverpool rejected a £150m bid for Salah from Al-Ittihad. It looks as though the Saudi Pro League side will not be giving up.

It is understood that a fresh £198m bid will now be made for Salah. Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are adamant the winger is not for sale as there isn’t enough time to find a replacement for him.

Salah wouldn’t be against a move to Saudi Arabia but is also willing to stay at Liverpool if a deal can’t be agreed upon. The Egyptian recently surpassed Steven Gerrard in the all time Liverpool record-scorers.

If Al-Ittihad were to return in January with the same price then that might be a difficult offer to turn down for the 31-year-old. With more prep time to find a replacement it looks assured that Salah will eventually leave Anfield if not today then the next transfer window.

The Saudi Pro League is constantly looking to add big names to it’s league. It’s been a busy summer for them as they’ve already completed the signatures of the likes of Neymar, Benzema and Sadio Mane.

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently the highest paid player in Saudi Arabia but if Salah were to join Al-Ittihad then he would become the highest paid player in the world.

Liverpool already look to be adding to their squad as they’re about to announce a new signing in Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich for £34m.
