As one of Britain’s hottest prospects and future pay-per-view stars, boxing fans want to know who Adam Azim’s next fight will be against. Read on to find out who Adam Azim’s next fight is against, and what his options are moving forward in the super-lightweight division.

Adam Azim Next Fight: What Next For ‘The Assassin’?

Here at SportsLens we are on hand to assess what could be next for Adam Azim. As one of the hottest prospects and future stars of British boxing, Adam Azim could be on course for some huge fights going forward.

Adam Azim’s next fight has been officially confirmed, as the superstar British boxer is set for his first fight of 2024 in a super-lightweight contest. Azim is set for a undefeated clash against Denmark’s Enock Poulsen on Saturday, February 3. The fight is a 12 round contest at 140-pounds.

The 21-year-old Brit is the overriding favourite with the best boxing betting sites to beat Poulsen with relative ease and defend his European Super-Lightweight Title for the very first time in the process.

Adam Azim’s next fight against Enock Poulsen goes down at Wembley Arena in London, England on the Joshua Buatsi vs Dan Azeez undercard. Both fighters are undefeated, but it is the Adam Azim record that is far more eye-catching and emphatic.

Should Azim get through this fight with Poulsen unscathed, some potentially huge dust-ups await in 2024. All-British clashes with the likes of Ohara Davies or Dalton Smith make sense, as do some more competitive European Title defences too. Or, could Azim fight for world honours before the end of the year? Only time will tell.

Options For Adam Azim’s Next Fight

Below we assess what could be next for ‘The Assassin’, and who Adam Azim’s next fight could be against should he defeat Enock Poulsen in his first European Super-Lightweight Title defence.

Adam Azim vs Ohara Davies?

A potential fight for Adam Azim next coould be an all-British clash with Ohara Davies. This is a fight that hasn’t really be talked about, but one that makes total sense. Davies was on the cusp of a world title shot, but lost to Ismael Barroso last time out via Round 1 knockout.

Davies will be looking to get his career back on track, and a challenge at Azim’s European Super-Lightweight Title could be the perfect fight for him. This fight makes total sense for Azim too, who is yet to have that household name on his resumé. A win over Ohara Davies would certainly provide that.

Davies has previously fought in all-British affairs against the likes of Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall, losing both. He was competitive in both without causing too many big problems, but both Taylor and Catterall are obviously world class fighters.

A fight between Adam Azim and Ohara Davies could be the perfect marker as to what level ‘The Assassin’ is at. If he wins, then he is the real deal. Should he lose, he is still only 21-years-old and can rebuild and come again for sure.

Azim would likely go into the fight as the favourite with the best online gambling sites, but it would be a tough one to call. Could we see Adam Azim vs Ohara Davies next? Only time will tell!

Fight For A World Title?

There is absolutely no rush with Adam Azim whatsoever, given the fact he is only 21-years-old. He may well continue to defend his European Super-Lightweight Title for the foreseeable future, which may be no bad thing for ‘The Assassin’.

However, could 2024 be the year that Adam Azim steps up to world level and fights for a world title? Time will tell whether this is the case or not of course, but it isn’t totally beyond the realms of possibility.

Although it unlikely to be next, a world title shot for Azim this year is certainly achievable. Looking at the super-lightweight division, the four world title belts are held by four different champions right now.

American star Devin Haney holds the WBC crown, with fellow American fighter Teofimo Lopez holding the WBO version. Rolando Romero holds the WBA World Super-Lightweight Title and is perhaps the weakest of the four champions, with Subriel Matias currently holding the IBF strap.

It isn’t totally out of the question that Adam Azim gets his shot at one of these four champions. His promoter Ben Shalom at Boxxer is unlikely to throw him in with Haney or Lopez, but the Romero fight is certainly winnable. The Matias fight is another tricky one, but one Azim is more than capable of winning.

‘The Assassin’ would likely go into the fight with Romero as a favourite with the best UK sports betting apps, but would certainly be a pretty sizable underdog against Haney, Lopez and possibly Matias too.
