Those who won or who finished less than ten lengths behind the winner were 17 from 63 for a profit of £65.30. NIGHT IN PARIS, short-headed over 5f here last month, will appreciate the extra furlong and has the rail draw.

Kevin Ryan has done well with progeny of the sire Washington DC, scoring with nine of the 48 qualifiers for a profit of £63.13 to a £1 level stake at SP. DC FLYER, an all-the-way winner at Hamilton last summer, disappointed on his comeback at Pontefract but had the worst of the draw in stall 8 of 8 and could go well in the first-time blinkers.
