KINGSFORD (system – Grant Tuer, second run since gelded)
Grant Tuer has a good recent record with runners on their second start after a gelding operation, scoring with six of the 19 qualifiers since the beginning of 2021 for a profit of £26.75. On turf only, the score is six from 13 (+£32.75) and the first-time blinkered KINGSFORD could be worth chancing at a big price despite a modest sixth at Wolverhampton on his seasonal return. First-time blinkers is another profitable system for the yard (3-14, +£5.00 to a £1 level stake at SP) and stall 9 could be useful if they swing wide in the straight.
BATH 5.35
RAVENGLASS (system – Adrian Wintle, local tracks)
There are two racecourses within a 50-mile radius of Adrian Wintle’s yard – Bath and Chepstow – and he has a good record at both of them. Since racing resumed after lockdown in June 2020 his Bath score stands at 23 from 112 (20.5%) for a profit of £37.20 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 12.91, A/E = 1.78). RAVENGLASS, one of five qualifiers today, ran second over course and distance nine days ago, recording a fast time for the grade, and should be competitive once more.
