CHELMSFORD 11.30
TROPEZ POWER (system – Jason Hart, 5f-7f handicaps, Chelmsford)
Jason Hart has a good recent record when riding over the shorter trips in handicaps at Chelmsford (5f-7f), scoring on 21 of his 72 mounts since the beginning of 2020 for a profit of £51.52 to a £1 level stake at SP. He’s now on TROPEZ POWER for the Quinn yard after his original ride, the badly-drawn One More Dream, was scratched. The five-year-old didn’t face the first-time cheekpieces when disappointing at Newcastle last time but the headgear is left off as he’s back down to his last winning mark.
AINTREE 3.05
FLOORING PORTER (system – left-handed preference)
FLOORING PORTER has a strong preference for left-handed tracks like Aintree, recording form figures this way round of 162111F2124443132 (6-17) for a profit of £46.50 to the usual £1 stake. The nine-year-old chased home TEAHUPOO in the Stayers’ Hurdle at Cheltenham last time and doesn’t have that rival to contend with today.
DUNDALK 4.20
CALIFORNIA DREAMER (system – Amo Racing-owned newcomers)
Owners Amo Racing Ltd do well with their newcomers, regardless of age and who trains them. They’ve landed debut wins with 42 of the 189 qualifiers (22.2%) for a profit of £38.73 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those trained in Ireland has a 40% strike-rate (six from 15, +£25.25) and Adrian Murray’s CALIFORNIA DREAMER can add to the tally.
DUNDALK 5.20
HEART OF DARKNESS (system – Paddy Twomey, second career outing)
Paddy Twomey has a good record with debutants, but he also does well with horses on their second career outing, scoring with 26 of the 69 qualifiers since the beginning of 2019 for a profit of £22.59. HEART OF DARKNESS was weak in the betting when fourth in a heavy-ground 5f maiden at Cork last month, and won’t have a problem with the Dundalk Polytrack surface on breeding.
YARMOUTH 6.30
FLY PASS (system – Amy Murphy, headgear removed)
Amy Murphy has a solid record when removing headgear from her runners, scoring with 13 of the 89 qualifiers since 2016 for a profit of £43.58. FLY PASS, beaten in blinkers on his last three starts, goes without the headgear today and looks well drawn in stall 1.
