Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew heads to Ludlow and Pontefract for his two recommended bets/trades on Tuesday, April 2nd. Andrew is now taking a short break and his column will return on Friday, April 5th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
LUDLOW 4.00
PASSING KATE can’t have the ground slow enough and she found underfoot conditions to her liking when taking a 1m7f mares’ handicap hurdle by five lengths from Ezmerellda at Wincanton last time, with 39 lengths back to the third. Matt Sheppard’s seven-year-old now has form figures in handicap hurdles on officially soft or heavy going, after a recent outing (within the past four weeks), of 05121 (2-5), improving to 11 (2-2) over trips of about 2m. They’re calling it soft, heavy in places at Ludlow this afternoon and that looks ideal. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back PASSING KATE in Ludlow 4.00
PONTEFRACT 4.15
It’s early days where the career of 7lb claimer JACK ENRIGHT is concerned but, so far, his mounts have performed below market expectations, landing five of their 98 starts (5.1%) for a loss of £72.75 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 8.12, A/E = 0.62). The young pilot has yet to ride at Pontefract and the suspicion remains that DESTINADO was flattered by last month’s Doncaster win when coming from off the pace in a headwind-affected race. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Fixed odds punters might want to side with handicap debutant LORD MELBOURNE.
Recommendation: Oppose DESTINADO in Pontefract 4.15
