Ex-Chelsea star Eden Hazard brutally trolls Spurs during an interview with former teammate John Obi Mikel, suggesting they are not better than Chelsea.
Hazard Trolls Spurs
There’s certainly no love lost between Eden Hazard and Tottenham Hotspur. The Belgian was the man to end Spurs’ feint title hopes back in 2016 after his late strike grabbed a draw for the west London club.
But now Hazard has rubbed salt into the wounds of Spurs fans by savagely trolling the club during a recent interview.
Speaking to John Obi Mikel on The Obi One Podcast, Hazard said, “But the Premier League is so hard. You see now, I think, Manchester City, they are better than Chelsea. You see Liverpool, they are better than Chelsea.”
Obi Mikel then interupts the former Real Madrid man to offer up Tottenham as an option. However, the Belgian responds with a wry smile, saying “No, no, Tottenham no.
“They play good football, yeah but you know Tottenham. As a Chelsea legend, you can’t say that man.”
Agreeing, Obi Mikel then states: “I’m not saying they’re going to win the league though. For sure, they are not going to win the league.”
Before Hazard responds jokingly: “That’s for sure!”

Chelsea And Spurs’ Rivalry
Despite Hazard’s comments, it’s difficult to make a case for Chelsea being a better team than Spurs at the moment.
Both Cheslea and Tottenham could not have had more polar opposite starts to their Premier League seasons, with Ange Postecoglou making an instant impact in north London and leading his side to 5th in the Premier League table.
Chelsea, on the other hand, have had a torrid season under Mauricio Pochettino. Having struggled with consistency, the Argentinian’s men find themselves in 10th place and looking unlikely to secure European football next season.
Although, it’s not all doom and gloom for Blues fans as they do find themselves in this weekend’s Carabao Cup final against league leaders Liverpool.
