Chelsea Record Signing
12 months ago, Chelsea’s record signing joined the club for a huge transfer fee of £106.8m. The 2022 FIFA World Cup winner also left Benfica to move to the Premier League.
The Argentine star arrived at Stamford Bridge with a huge reputation; his performances in November and December 2022 saw his stock skyrocket.
However, the defensive midfielder has had an indifferent start to life in England’s elite. His British record transfer fee has perhaps had an effect on his performances on the pitch.
Of course, we are referring to Enzo Fernandez. The 23-year-old has only shown glimmers of his talents so far but he will surely become more consistent in time.
If the Blues are to get a positive result against Liverpool at Anfield, Fernandez will need to be at his very best to stop the Premier League leaders.

Liverpool Vs Chelsea Full Squad Values
Unsurprisingly, Liverpool and Chelsea have two of the most valuable squads in the Premier League. Both teams have spent very lavishly across recent seasons.
According to transfermarkt.com, the Reds full squad value is listed at £745m. The most valuable players in Jurgen Klopp‘s squad are Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz (both £63.8m).
Both players are expected to start at Anfield on Wednesday – the attacking duo have notched 11 goals and registered six assists between them in all competitions this season.
The Blues full squad value is listed at £834.6m, according to transfermarket.com. The most valuable player in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad is defensive midfielder Moises Caicedo, who is priced at £76.6m.
The Ecuadorian international only moved to West London in the summer of 2023, joining from Brighton & Hove Albion for £100m.
