Ahead of the upcoming African Cup Of Nations, we have taken a look at the net worth, salary and endorsements of Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana.

Andre Onana Playing Career & Earnings

Andre Onana came through the ranks at Barcelona, after joining from the Samuel Eto’o academy in 2010 and made eight appearances for the youth sides at Camp Nou.

In 2015, the renowned shot-stopper joined Ajax for £150, 000, starting out for the U21 side before working his way into the first team.

Onana signed a renewed deal with the Dutch side in 2017, which ran until 2021 and in that time the goalkeeper made 214 appearances – winning three Eredivisie titles.

According to reports, Onana’s salary in the Netherlands started at £200,000 and increased to £1 million by the end of his time at Ajax.

However, the Cameroon international’s career took a huge hit in 2021, as he was banned from playing football for 12 months (later reduced to nine) after a failed doping test.

In July 2022, fresh off of his ban, Onana signed for Serie A giants Inter Milan on a free transfer and the shot-stopper made 41 appearances in his only season at the club.

His role in Inter’s Champions League run was crucial, as the 27-year-old made 13 appearances and put in a stellar performance against Manchester City in the final.

During Onana’s time in Italy, his salary was reported to be around £3 million, which works out to be around £62, 000 per week.

In the summer window of 2023, the Cameroonian made the biggest transfer of his career, as he signed for Manchester United in a deal worth around £47m.

The early stages of his time at Old Trafford have proved to be tricky, as he faces the difficult task of replacing David De Gea who was United’s number one for over a decade.

However, his contract in Manchester is said to be worth double in comparison to his Inter Milan deal, earning a whopping £120,000 per week (£6.2m a year).
