Manchester United fan and YouTuber Mark Goldbridge has reacted to Diogo Dalot’s shocking red card against Liverpool and accuses referee Michael Oliver of “inconsistency.”
Dalot’s Red Card In The Liverpool Vs. Manchester United Game
Liverpool’s Premier League fixture against Manchester United yesterday afternoon could be whittled down to one main talking point.
After Liverpool dominated proceedings with 69% possession, Jurgen Klopp’s side struggled to make the breakthrough and the game looked as if it was fizzling out without incident.
However, with the game drawing to a close, Diogo Dalot thought he had won a throw-in for his side. But, when referee Michael Oliver gave the decision Liverpool’s way the Portuguese full-back reacted angrily, leading Oliver to brandish a yellow card.
When Dalot continued his protestations, without missing a beat, Oliver brandished a second yellow card for the player, sending him for an early bath.
The decision looked rash at the time and it has not gone down well among football fans, especially Mark Goldbridge.
🗣 "I'll leave it with you."

What Did Mark Goldbridge Say About Dalot’s Red Card Against Liverpool?
Speaking about the decision on The United Stand, Goldbridge said: “I’ve never been a fan of Michael Oliver. Michael Oliver is the most inconsistent referee in the Premier League. He’s always been bad. I don’t rate him as a referee and you know what, I hope ten Hag doesn’t say anything because he’ll get charged.
“But I have a rich history of Michael Oliver mistakes for Manchester United. He is full of inconsistency. I do not know why Dalot gets sent off and this needs to stop.
“Howard Webb seems to think that he’s doing a great job in stopping dissent. You’re not. Lewis Dunk had it happen to him a few weeks ago. Now we’ve had it with Dalot. You cannot give two yellow cards for dissent in that situation.
“Footballers are not robots. It is Liverpool-Manchester United at Anfield. Emotional, high intensity. Book him for dissent for shouting, don’t give him another one if he carries on shouting.
@haseeb.ftbl He could have cost us that game 💯 #fyp #foryou #football #footy #markgoldbridge #goldbridge #manutd #utd
“Referees should be managing the game for the betterment of the game. They should not be protecting themselves from an invisible threat. Dalot is not about to put Michael Oliver in a stone-cold stunner. He’s just frustrated.
“If Liverpool go and score because we’re down to ten men, Michael Oliver’s just f***** us.
“The two yellow cards is about ‘I’m the referee, it’s got to be about me.’ It is a stain on football.”
