Andrew heads to Newcastle’s all-weather meeting for his two stats-based selections on Friday, December 8th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
FREDDY ROBINSON (system – Adaay, all-weather, 4yo+)
Older progeny of the sire Adaay have a useful record on artificial surfaces, landing 38 of their 279 starts (13.6% strike-rate) prior to Thursday’s racing for a profit of £75.46 to the usual £1 stake. At Newcastle only, the score is ten from 39 (+£58.00). FREDDY ROBINSON beat only one home in a 1m2f handicap here last time but he made the running on his first start for several months and it’s safe to draw a line through that effort. It’s doubtful that connections will be daft enough to make the running again over a course and distance that eats front-runners alive (his best runs have come when ridden patiently) and he could go well at a likely big price.

TRAIS FLUORS (system – Linda Perratt, all-weather)
This year (prior to Thursday’s racing at Southwell), Linda Perratt is 14 from 37 with her runners on the all-weather for a profit of £74.37 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those who had raced at least twice in the past three months were 14 from 28 (+£83.37) and TRAIS FLUORS qualifies on that score. He won narrowly on his stable/Tapeta debut last month to take his all-weather record to 2115321 (3-7) and should be on the premises once again.
