Jurgen Klopp is left bemused once again as his side are playing at 12:30pm away to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
How many times have Liverpool played at 12:30pm?
This will be the fourth time Liverpool have played in the 12:30pm slot this season. This is the most out of any club; beating Tottenham who have played three times in the slot.
Three of the times Liverpool have been on at 12:30, has been after an international break. This time, against Crystal Palace, it’ll be from playing on a Wednesday night.
TNT Sports have been responsible for airing Liverpool three times; the other was on Sky Sports against Manchester City.
Klopp’s reaction
Klopp was left bemused when Prime Video presenter Marcus Buckland jokingly brought up Klopp’s ‘favourite kick-off time.’ Klopp was not in the mood for laughing as he responded: “That’s great, that’s really great to make a joke about that.”
Buckland replied: “You still have the passion and enjoyment, it’s constant isn’t it, day in, day out?”
Klopp answered back: “It is constant. I go home, I don’t know when we arrive, 1 or 2am whatever. We play again. We have two sessions – tomorrow and Friday.
“So it’s fine to recover and we go again. So Crystal Palace played tonight so it’s absolutely fine.
“But I realise you don’t understand it is as well and you work in football so why should I try to explain again? You can make a joke, you’re completely ignorant. Football is entertainment. I understand.”
Buckland quickly tried to to calm the situation, he assured Klopp he was ‘not trying to be disrespectful’.
Still annoyed, Klopp replied: “You were already. All good, you can say what you want, just I cannot say what I want.”
Klopp has previously been vocal of his disregard for 12:30pm kick-offs including the one against Manchester City last month. He said: “How can you put a game like this on Saturday at 12.30pm?
“Honestly, the people making the decisions, they cannot feel football. It is just not possible. This is the moment the world pays the most to see a football game.
“And by the way, the players will all come back on the same plane, all the South American players, picking them up from different countries.”
Where can I watch Crystal Palace V Liverpool?
Crystal Palace V Liverpool will be broadcasted on TNT Sports at 12:30pm on Saturday 9th December.
Liverpool are in 2nd place; only two points behind Arsenal. A win would send them to the top for a few hours at least.
Crystal Palace haven’t won in four games as they sit in 14th place.
