The Premier League boasts some of the world’s best youngest talent, but there are also some veterans that continue to impress in England’s top-flight. But who are the oldest players in the Premier League?

Thiago Silva (39-years-old)
The veteran defender will make history for Chelsea today, as he becomes the oldest outfield player to ever make an appearance for the Blues.
At 39 years and 64 days, the Brazilian has overtaken the likes of John Harris, Glen Hoodle and even goalkeeper, Willy Caballero.
During his illustrious career, Silva has won the Champions League, 7 Ligue 1 titles, a Serie A title, 5 French Cups and the Copa America with Brazil.
Ashley Young (38-years-old)
Ashley Young has been a Premier League mainstay for just under 20 years, playing for Watford, Aston Villa, Manchester United and Everton.
Winning the Premier League and FA Cup with the Red Devils, Young is now playing his football at Everton and has transitioned from a tricky winger to astute full-back.
During this long-standing career, the 38-year-old has made 433 appearances and has shown no signs of slowing down this season.
James Milner (37-years-old)
Milner now plays his football for Brighton, but prior tho his move down south, the 37-year-old had a fruitful spell with Liverpool.
Winning the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League, Milner was part of one of the best Liverpool teams in history.
As well as playing for Liverpool and Brighton, Milner has donned the shirt of Leeds, Aston Villa, Manchester City – making his debut for Leeds in 2002.
Tim Ream (36-years-old)
The American has been an ever-present member of Marco Silva’s Fulham side, amassing 90 appearances in England’s top division.
As well as this, the 35-year-old was also pivotal in helping Fulham return to the Premier League, winning the Championship in 2022.
Prior to his Fulham days, Ream played his football for fellow English side, Bolton, making 126 appearances for the Championship side.
Jonny Evans (35-years-old)
Many were surprised to see Jonny Evans return to Manchester United at 35-years-old, after he left the club back in 2015.
After leaving United in 2015, the 35-year-old had spells at West Brom and Leicester, ultimately being relegated from the Premier League with Leicester last season.
During his career, Evans has won the Champions League, FA Cup, Championship and three Premier League titles – debuting in 2006.
Adam Lallana (35-years-old)
The Englishman has entertained football fans for over a decade, demonstrating silky skills and one of the best Cruyff turns in history.
Coming through the ranks, at Southampton and debuting in 2006, Lallana earned a move to Liverpool in 2014 and went on to win a Champions League and Premier League.
In 2020, he ended a six-year tenure with the Reds and signed for Brighton, where he continues to show his quality at 35-years-old.
Angelo Ogbonna (35-years-old)
The Italian defender signed for West Ham in 2015, after spells with Torino, Crotone and Juventus in the Serie A/B between 2007-2013.
Since signing for the Hammers, the 35-year-old has made 238 appearances for the side from east London and was key in the Europa Conference League triumph last season.
Willian (35-years-old)
Willian has played for a variety of clubs in the Premier League, but specifcally London, playing for Chelsea, Arsenal and Fulham.
During his time in England, the 35-year-old has made 297 appearances in the Premier League and has won the title twice.
Chris Basham (35-years-old)
The Sheffield United defender picked up what looks to be a season-ending injury against Fulham, but prior to this he had been a stalwart for the Blades.
Signing for Sheffield United in 2014, Basham has made 394 appearances for Paul Heckingbottom’s side and was part of the 2016/17 League One title winning side.
Ivan Perisic (35-years-old)
The Croatian is set to miss the entirety of the 2023-24 season, after picking up an ACL injury at the beginning of the campaign.
Perisic signed for Spurs in 2022, after spells for Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund – winning the Champions League with Bayern.
