Gerwyn Price Players Championship Finals Odds
World number five Gerwyn Price heads into this weekend’s Players Championship Finals as second favourite alongside Michael van Gerwen, as he looks to bounce back from his abrupt second round exit from last week’s Grand Slam of Darts.
“The Iceman” topped a group containing Ryan Searle, Nathan Rafferty and Gian van Geen, recording the two highest averages at the event with 110.51 against Searle, and 112.30 against Van Geen, but was sent packing by Gary Anderson in the last-16.
Anderson rolled back the years and defied Price advancement to the quarter-finals despite the Welshman boasting a 103.54 average, with “The Flying Scotsman” coming out on top with a 10-6 scoreline.
Price will put all of that behind him when he takes to the stage at the Butlin’s Resort in Minehead though, as he bids to lift his first ever Players Championship Finals title.
The 38-year-old already has six ranking titles to his name in 2023, more than any other player, and heads into this weekend’s showpiece as the top seed after securing four Players Championship titles across the campaign.
He gets his tournament underway on Friday against “Rapid” Ricky Evans, and you can bet on him to go all the way and lift the trophy on Sunday at a price of 11/2 with BetMGM.
