Cheltenham Lucky 15 Tips On Saturday 18th November 2023
You can back our four best bets at Cheltenham on Day Two of the November Meeting (Saturday 18th November 2023) in a Lucky 15 bet at BetMGM, who have a glorious sign-up offer ready to be claimed with £30 in horse racing free bets.
1:45 – From The Horse’s Mouth Podcast Novices’ Chase (Listed Race) (Gbb Race) Cl1 (5yo+) 3m½f ITV: GOOD RISK IT ALL @ 7/4
The Sam Thomas-trained gelding GOOD RISK IT ALL made an impressive start to life over fences last time out when winning by 16 lengths at Carlisle.
Considering that was his first time tackling the larger obstacles, he looks like a good sort in this sphere for an up and coming Thomas yard. He’s a horse that returns to Cheltenham with a win at the course.
He triumphed in a listed bumper at 2020’s November Meeting and could be a tough nut to crack if he shows the same form he did at Carlisle around three weeks ago.
2:20 – Paddy Power Gold Cup Handicap Chase (Premier Handicap) (Gbb Race) Cl1 (4yo+) 2m4f ITV: THE REAL WHACKER @ 6/1
Our second selection in Saturday’s Lucky 15 tips is THE REAL WHACKER. Patrick Neville’s charge has won all of his last three races and those successes were all at Cheltenham too.
He brings some serious form to the table having edged out Gerri Colombe on his most recent start. The Real Whacker is a superb jumper and although he’s stepping down in trip, the Neville stable would have prepped him well for the race on his seasonal reappearance.
With an unbeaten record (3 wins) over fences, this son of Mahler can make it four from four in another Cheltenham victory.
2:55 – Paddy Power Games Handicap Hurdle (Gbb Race) Cl2 (4yo+) 3m ITV: BUDDY ONE @ 11/2
The third pick is BUDDY ONE, an Irish challenger who won cosily at Galway last time out. Paul Gilligan’s chance has ran very well this year over hurdles and could prove tough to beat despite being higher in the weights.
With Jack Gilligan (trainer’s son) taking the ride, it would be no surprise to see him go close to home given he knows this horse very well. The jockey also takes off a useful 7lbs with his claimer.
He ran very well at Cheltenham back in March and was probably unlucky to finish third in the Martin Pipe when hanging left after the final fence and he had to be included in our selections.
3:30 – Paddy Power Feel Like A Favourite Intermediate Handicap Hurdle Cl3 (3yo+ 0-140) 2m5f ITV: RESLENDENT GREY @ 3/1
Our fourth and final selection in Saturday’s Lucky 15 at Cheltenham is RESLENDENT GREY. This Walk In The Park gelding ran a fine race in defeat when second behind Captain Teague in the Persian War at Chepstow last month, and should come on from that reappearance.
Harry Skelton takes the ride this time around and Reslendent Grey should give this a good effort if his jumping is as good as it was the last day.
Moving into handicap company should also help Olly Murphy’s charge and he has a fitness advantage over a few in this field after that recent hard fought runner-up effort.

What Is A Lucky 15 Bet?
If you are not sure what a Lucky 15 bet is – let us explain.
In short, a Lucky 15 bet will involve 4 HORSES and these picks are permed up in singles, doubles, trebles and a 4-fold.
With the four horses, there are 15 bets across four different selections – hence where the name ‘Lucky 15’ comes from.
Therefore, the more of your four horses to win, means a bigger return. While if only one horse wins, then you are left with just one of the 15 bets – a single.
The Lucky 15 Bet Perms are: 4 single bets, 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and 1 four-fold accumulator.
