1:45 – Mucking Brilliant Paddy Power Handicap Chase 2m (Class 2): Triple Trade @ 4/1
Kicking off our Cheltenham Lucky 15 tips on Friday is a selection in this competitive 2m chase and we’re siding with TRIPLE TRADE.
The Joe Tizzard-trained gelding ran on well to finish second on his reappearance over course and distance at the end of October despite being outpaced and dropping to the back of the pack at the halfway point.
He was only nudged up 1lb for that eye-catching finish and this seven-year-old looks to be in with a good shout in a wide-open race. He also comes from the inform Tizzard yard who are operating at an impressive 24% strike rate in the past 14 days with six wins in just 25 runs.
2:55 – Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase 3m5f (Class 2): Delta Work @ 11/4
Our next selection is DELTA WORK, who is one of two market leaders with stablemate Galvin. This looks to be a compelling renewal of March’s race between the two Gordon Elliot-trained horses.
Delta Work finished a respectable third on his reappearance at Punchestown last month behind Minella Indo and despite being high up in the weights for this handicap, he has the quality to prevail.
With him already having that prep run just over four weeks ago, he is a more attractive prospect than his stable companion Galvin, who may not appreciate the ground if it softens up any more.
It’s worth noting the inspiring form that Elliot’s stable is in too, with 20 winners in the last 14 days (30%).
3:30 – Trustatrader Novices’ Hurdle 2m5f (Class 1): Captain Teague @ 4/7
The third selection in our Cheltenham Lucky 15 tips on Friday is CAPTAIN TEAGUE. He looked a good thing over hurdles when storming to a nine-and-a-half length success in the Persian War at Chepstow five weeks ago and there is plenty of scope for improvement.
Paul Nicholls’ charge has a strong build and the slight step up in trip should be no problem at all.
This classy five-year-old also has Cheltenham experience under his belt after finishing third in the Champion Bumper here in March. He was the only British-trained horse to finish in the top 11 that day, showing exactly why he is one of the most exciting horses in training right now.
It’s hard to oppose the son of Doyon who looked terrific on hurdling debut, and he has every chance of taking his tally to three wins out of four career runs in this one.
4:05 – Valda Energy Novices’ Hanidcap Hurdle 2m (Class 3): Impose Toi @ 3/1
And to finish off our Cheltenham Lucky 15 on Friday is Nicky Henderson’s IMPOSE TOI. The Seven Barrows handler spoke very highly of this five-year-old in his stable tour and appears to have high hopes for him.
He has won two of his last three starts over hurdles and was last seen winning by 15 lengths back in May at Ludlow looking like a handy prospect going forward.
Based on what we’ve seen so far from Impose Toi, if ready on his reappearance he should prove tough to beat for his highly-respected yard.

What Is a Lucky 15 Bet?
If you are not sure what a Lucky 15 bet is – let us explain.
In short, a Lucky 15 bet will involve 4 HORSES and these picks are permed up in singles, doubles, trebles and a 4-fold.
With the four horses, there are 15 bets across four different selections – hence where the name ‘Lucky 15’ comes from.
Therefore, the more of your four horses to win, means a bigger return. While if only one horse wins, then you are left with just one of the 15 bets – a single.
The Lucky 15 Bet Perms are: 4 single bets, 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and 1 four-fold accumulator.
