Jose Mourinho is reportedly set to leave Roma at the end of the season when his contract expires with Antonio Conte rumoured to be interested in replacing him.

Jose Mourinho To Leave Roma At End Of Season

The former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham manager has had a tough start to his third year in charge at Roma, with the side currently sitting 10th in Serie A.

Mourinho has enjoyed a fruitful return to Italy over the last couple of seasons though, winning the inaugural Europa Conference League before reaching the final of the Europa League last season.

The 60-year-old is in the final season of his three-year contract and is reportedly set to leave with an extension looking unlikely.

Given his excellent managerial career, another big club move would certainly not be ruled out for Mourinho. The Portuguese coach was heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in the summer and that could be his next destination.

Al-Hilal pushed to bring Mourinho to the Middle East recently, but he opted to stay with the Giallorossi to see out the final year of his contract.

According to reports, a mystery Saudi Pro League side are preparing to offer the ex-Inter boss a two-year contract worth £104million.

In the meantime, Roma will surely be looking at options to replace Jose at the end of the season with Antonio Conte keen on a return to Italian football.

Conte has been out of a job since he was sacked by Spurs last season and recently said he would be interested in a return to his home nation: “I regretted leaving Juventus after just three years.

“I’d like to try an experience in Roma or Napoli one day, but I usually prefer to join at the end of the season.”
