Barcelona are confident on signing Joao Felix permanently this summer and are currently working on putting together a reasonable offer for Atletico Madrid to make the move official.

Joao Felix Increasingly Likely To Sign Permanent Deal With Barcelona In Summer

Felix has made a big impact since his summer loan move to Barcelona from Atletico, contributing three goals and two assists in all competitions.

The 23-year-old still has six years left on his contract with Atletico after joining for €127m in 2019, but is now in his second loan move away from the club.

Felix was at Chelsea for a short period last season and signed in January earlier this year, before the Blues opted against making his deal permanent.

The Portugal international has already received a pay rise from Barcelona despite only being there for a few months. He was originally signed on a contract worth €400,000 for the year, but will now be paid €4m after impressing Catalan bosses.

Barca are now working on an appropriate offer for the tricky forward and could agreed a deal with Atletico in the coming weeks.

Xavi’s side are unbeaten in La Liga and currently sit third in the table after six wins and three draws in their opening nine games.

They’re also doing well in the Champions League so far, and won their opening two matches in Group H, scoring six without conceding.

Felix has completely transformed his game since signing for the Catalan giants and has formed a strong attacking partnership with Robert Lewandowski.

The former Benfica youngster is said to have rejected approaches in the summer from Premier League sides including Manchester United and Liverpool.
