Former Arsenal and Manchester City defender, Bacary Sagna, has voiced skepticism about Tottenham Hotspur’s ability to maintain their strong start in the Premier League.
Sagna, aged 40, has questioned Tottenham’s consistency, suggesting that their title challenge might crumble, leaving Arsenal and Manchester City as the primary contenders.
“The title race will be between Arsenal and Manchester City, Spurs will collapse, as usual.” Sagna stated in an interview with Paddy Power. “And that’s not just me speaking as an Arsenal fan. I don’t see them being consistent enough all season.
“Apart from Heung-Min Son, I don’t see anyone in that team that can lead the team or play a vital role in Spurs’ title race.
“They started well, and they can qualify for the Champions League, but I don’t see them competing for the title.”
Currently, Spurs share the top spot in the Premier League table with North London rivals Arsenal. In fact, both clubs are the only remaining sides to maintain an unbeaten streak in the league.

Tottenham’s manager, Ange Postecoglou, is committed to building on the promising start in the Premier League. He’s preparing his squad for an upcoming clash with Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next weekend. Spurs will be looking for revenge following their early exit from the Carabao Cup at Craven Cottage in August.
With victories over Liverpool and Manchester United, Spurs remain determined to change the course of their history. The club last won a trophy back in 2008.
Tottenham are currently priced at around 10/1 by bookmakers to win the Premier League.
