Real Madrid are reportedly set to offer Brazilian winger, Vinicius Jr, a huge contract that will include a staggering release clause of €1 Billion.

Los Blancos are keen on keeping a hold of their star forward and this new deal will not only see the Brazilian become the highest paid player, but also price Vinicius at €1bn.

During his time in Spain’s capital, Vinicius has contributed to 146 goals in 286 matches (76 goals & 70 assists), while also picking up a Champions League, two La Liga titles and two Club World Cups.

His form this season has taken a slight dip, missing three league fixtures through injury, however, the 23-year-old was pivotal in the club’s most recent win – scoring and assisting in the 4-0 win over Osasuna.

The Brazil star will see his current deal run out in 2024, meaning an extended contract was necessary – with both player and club being keen on maintaining their relationship.

Vinicius started as an bright prospect after moving to the Santiago Bernabeu, but is now one of the biggest names in world football.

His situation in La Liga has been full of debate over recent months, with many reports claiming the Brazilian has had an agreed extension for the past year – but no official deal has been confirmed.

Vinicius is keen on staying in the Spanish capital, despite the recent ongoings following the racial abuse he received away to Valencia. Manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has been very vocal about Valencia’s recent actions during the controversy.

Ancelotti said: “They’re trying to change the subject. The point is that Vinícius was the victim of racist insults. Whether it was one [fan], ten, a thousand or ten thousand, that doesn’t change the point.

“We had a player who was the victim of racist insults and now there’s a court case. Some of the media want to change the subject. That’s a shame, and it makes me angry.”
