Everton Vs Bournemouth Preview
Both Everton and Bournemouth have got off to a poor start this season and sit 16th and 19th respectively. The Toffees have just one win from their opening seven games, meanwhile the Cherries are still searching for their first three points of the season.
Sean Dyche’s side afforded Luton Town their first ever Premier League victory last weekend when they lost 2-1 and Bournemouth were shown no mercy by Arsenal, who hammered them 4-0.
Prior to last week’s win over Luton, Everton did pick up two wins on the bounce as they progressed to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup and the week before, they picked up their first league victory of the season. The Toffees beat Brentford 3-1 before a 2-1 triumph over Aston Villa in the cup.
As for Andoni Iraola’s side, they still remain in the cup too, after picking up wins over Swansea and most recently Stoke. However, they can’t seem to find a victory in the league and remain in the relegation zone.
The Cherries do have the upper hand over their opponents in recent times, and have won four of the last five meetings. Although Everton won when these sides last met on the final day of last season. Dyche’s side won 1-0, securing their Premier League status for at least another year.
Everton Vs Bournemouth Team News
Everton Team News
There is not too many injury issues for the hosts, but Dele Alli, Seamus Coleman and Andre Gomes all remain sidelined. However, that trio could return to training following the international break, but still have some recovery to do before then.
Idrissa Gueye was subbed off at half-time in the defeat to Luton last weekend, but it was a tactical decision by Dyhce and not an injury. The midfielder was replaced by summer signing Jack Harrison, who is expected to be in contention to start against the Cherries.
Everton Predicted Line-Up
