SportsLens Head of News Lee Astley, said: “Tottenham and Arsenal are tied at the top for most Premier League points won in September with ten, so it’s only right that Ange Postecoglou and Mikel Arteta head the betting to win Manager of the Month.

“In August, Postecoglou became the first manager since Huddersfield Town’s David Wagner to claim the prize in their first month in the division. He was also nominated for FIFA Best Men’s Coach award recently.

“Spurs beat Burnley 5-2 away from home, scored two goals in the depths of added time to overturn a 1-0 deficit against Sheffield United, drew 2-2 with Arsenal in the North London derby and beat Liverpool 2-1 last month.

“They’ve averaged 2.42 points per game under Postecoglou, on track for 92 at the end of the season which would be their best-ever Premier League tally. He boasts a 62.5% win percentage, the best in the club’s history.

“Arsenal also enjoyed a successful period, beating Manchester United, Everton and Bournemouth as Arteta seeks a seventh Premier League Manager of the Month honour.

“Unai Emery won the award once back in April 2023 and will also fancy his chances after leading Aston Villa to three wins and a loss. Jurgen Klopp and Eddie Howe round off the candidates for the award.”
