The recent Brighton team news has confirmed that Pervis Estupinan will be missing for maybe a month. He’ll miss their second Europa League match.

Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that Estupinan will be out of their Europa League clash with Marseille. It’s an important game for the Seagulls as they lost their first game against AEK Athens.

The news that Estupinan is injured will come as a big blow to De Zerbi. The Columbian was taken off at half-time during their 6-1 defeat to Aston Villa.

When discussing the Brighton team news, specifically Estupinan, De Zerbi said:

“Estupinan is injured and he can’t play for a long time. He’s an important player we are losing. We can play in that position with [Tariq] Lamptey, Igor [Julio].

“One month, more or less.”

Not only will he miss their next Europa League game, he’s going to miss two crucial Premier League games. Brighton face Liverpool and Man City in a crucial double encounter for Brighton.

The two games against Premier League title challengers will be a test to see where Brighton are this season, and a test of how they’re handling the addition of the Europa League to their schedule.

Other Brighton Team News
