Sky Sports pundit, Jamie Carragher, has given a scathing review over Arsenal’s title hopes and claims he ‘fears’ for Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners have started the season strongly, remaining undefeated from their opening six Premier League matches, but things have not gone swimmingly for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arsenal drew 2-2 to their fierce rivals, Spurs, despite taking the lead twice and the club faced criticism following claims they ‘over-celebrated’.

Spurs equalised within 30 seconds following Bukayo Saka’s converted penalty and the celebration from all involved with the club has been scrutinised.

The Arsenal manager has been notorious for his action on the touchline and former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, has claimed that the Spaniards enthusiasm is negatively impacting his side.

The Sky Sports pundit said: “I noticed in the Community Shield – and something stuck with me – and I said that I felt like I was watching Arsenal in the run in and it’s only the start of the season with the celebrations, or it feels like every game is going to the wire.”

“I’ve been there with Liverpool. Arsenal fans will feel like they can’t win the league now because they’ve dropped points in two home games. That’s what City do to you, and we are probably looking at one of the best teams the Premier League has ever seen, maybe the best if they win it again.”

The former Liverpool player had also been critical over Aaron Ramsdale’s reaction to David Raya’s save against Spurs, as the Englishman has appeared to lose his number one spot.

Ramsdale can be seen applauding his teammate’s save, clapping his hands high in the air and many have claimed that is ‘for the cameras’.

The England international responded on Instagram, posting photos of him applauding his teammates during his time at Sheffield United and for the Gunners last season.
