The Red Devils have had plenty of injuries to deal with so far this season, in what has been a tough start for Erik ten Hag’s side.

With four defeats in their last five games, the latest Man United injury update from the boss should lift the squad a little ahead of their trip to Turf Moor on Saturday.

Ten Hag was speaking to the media ahead of the Burnley clash: “As you say, Harry Maguire but we will see again after training. But Varane will train, we will see, Amrabat will train, we will see and Mount as well. But they didn’t play for short or longer-term. Varane obviously, was the shortest out.”

According to the Dutchman, it appears that the four in question have returned to training, so could feature this weekend.

Former France international Varane has been out of action since he was forced off last month in United’s 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest, so would be a welcome return.

As for Mount, he joined from Chelsea in the summer but has only made two Premier League appearances for the side. The 24-year-old has been suffering with a hamstring injury he picked up in the 2-0 defeat away at Tottenham, but may be involved at Turf Moor after returning to training earlier this week.

Amrabat is yet to pull on a red shirt since his loan move from Serie A side Fiorentina but could make his debut for the Red Devils some time soon.

And finally, Maguire, who has struggled as of late was absent for the Champions League defeat away at Bayern Munich. However, the out-of-favour defender could return.

Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tyrell Malacia, Amad Diallo and Tom Heaton are all still unavailable.
