Manchester City came from behind to beat Red Star Belgrade 3-1 in their opening Champions League Group G game at the Etihad Stadium to begin their defence of the competition.

Osman Bukari beat City’s offside trip on the brink of half time and slipped through to fire home with remarkable composure and give the visitors a dream result at the interval vs the 2022/23 champions.

Pep Guardiola’s side came back like they always do with three goals in the second half thanks to a brace from Julian Alvarez and Rodri’s third goal of the season to win comfortably.

Group F also features RB Leipzig, who beat Young Boys 3-1 earlier today – the Sky Blues will move on to face the the former in their next outing two weeks from now.
