Newcastle United shared the points in Milan at the San Siro following their return to the Champions League for the first time in two decades.

Milan had 25 shots throughout with nine on target and missed a total of four big chances, whilst the Magpies managed a total of six but they kept the ball well with 48% possession and completed 85% of passes.
Fikayo Tomori played a blinder at the back for Stefano Pioli’s side and he was matched by the likes of Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao but they couldn’t manage to get over the line in an exhausting battle.

According to Champions League betting sites, Newcastle are priced at 25/1 to win the competition after earning a valuable point and now look ahead to facing PSG in two weeks at St. James’ Park.
AC Milan are slightly higher at 40/1, with the likes of Benfica, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig behind in the betting.
