Jadon Sancho could be offered the chance to return to former club Borussia Dortmund in January, if his struggles at Manchester United continue.

Jadon Sancho Linked With Shock Loan Move Back To Borussia Dortmund

Sancho is in a spot of bother at Old Trafford after he slammed manager Erik ten Hag in a social media post following the side’s defeat to Arsenal earlier this month.

Sancho released this statement after Ten Hag explained he dropped him because he hadn’t reached the required performance levels in training. The winger responded to this, saying he had performed well in training and that he was being made a “scapegoat”.

His future at the club is now in serious doubt, and he could be offered the chance to return to Dortmund after he made the £73m switch to the Red Devils back in 2021.

Dortmund wanted to bring him back to the club on loan last January, but saw their loan offer rejected by United. However, it is now reported they will try again this winter with the current saga between Sancho and the club.

He scored 50 goals in 137 games for the Bundesliga side in four years but has only managed 12 goals on his return to England in 82 appearances for United.

It is reported that Sancho’s antics have left his teammates unimpressed, and are siding with Ten Hag after the bust-up. His time-keeping and attitude off the field was something previously raised in the England camp which led to Sancho being dropped by his country.

He could now return to Germany and Dortmund, with the club expected to work on a deal to sign him in January if things do not change.

Sancho was linked with a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq, managed by Steven Gerrard. However, a move failed to materialise on the final day of the transfer window in the Middle East.
