PSV vs Rangers Preview

In a repeat of what happened 12 months ago, PSV and Rangers’ Champions League qualifying playoff tie is all to play for going into the second leg.

For a second year running, the two clubs played out an enthralling 2-2 draw at Ibrox in the first leg, setting up another huge second leg in Eindhoven.

Last week at in Glasgow, Rangers took the lead through Abdallah Sima just moments before the break. Ibrahim Sangare then pulled one back for the visitors. Rabbi Matondo superbly put the home side 2-1 up with about 15 minutes to go, then Luuk de Jong scored for PSV to make it 2-2, leaving it all to play for in the second leg.

Both sides are in steady form coming into the game, and are unbeaten in their last five games. Rangers came out on top eventually in this fixture last year, so Michael Beale will be hoping of much of the same this time around.
