Former Newcastle striker, turned pundit, Alan Shearer, has posted a hilarious tweet following Harry Kane’s agreement with Bayern Munich.

The record goal scorer in the Premier League took to Twitter with a hilarious post to show his joy over Harry Kane’s imminent move to Bayern Munich.

It comes as the England international is just 47 goals behind Alan Shearer’s all-time record, with Kane scoring 213 and Shearer notching an incredible 260.

The post is a light-hearted take, with the former Blackburn striker posting an image of himself as a pilot flying Kane to Munich himself – to keep his record in tact.

Shearer has previously joked about Kane breaking his record, both on the new podcast ‘The Rest Is Football’ woth Gary Lineker and Micah Richards, whilst also in an article for The Athletic.

He said: “If Harry wants to join Bayern, I’ll drive his f****** car there myself; anything to protect my Premier League goalscoring record of 260 – Harry is on 213.”

David Ornstein broke the news that the Bundesliga champions have finally struck an agreement with the Londoners to sign their star man, for a fee believed to be worth €100m (£86.4m), on a 4-year deal.

The deal has now been completely agreed and the 30-year-old will complete a medical in the early stages of today – finalising the move

Reports suggested that Kane wanted the saga to be resolved prior to Tottenham’s opening league fixture against Brentford this weekend.

He is yet to win a major trophy in his professional career and he would have the best chance of success in the Bundesliga, considering Bayern Munich have won the last 11 league titles in a row.

Kane scored the most match-winning goals in the Premier League last season and is widely regarded as one of the best strikers on the planet, but he could be ready for a new challenge.
