Bayern Munich have agreed a €100m fee with Spurs to sign England captain Harry Kane subject to personal terms, according to a report.

David Ornstein broke the news that the Bundesliga champions have finally struck an agreement with the Londoners to sign their star man, for a fee believed to be worth €100m (£86.4m).

The deal is subject to personal terms and Kane is now expected to decide whether he would like to make the switch to Munich or remain in England to break the Premier League goalscoring record.

Reports suggested that Kane wanted the saga to be resolved prior to Tottenham’s opening league fixture against Brentford this weekend.

Ornstein says the 30-year-old is known to be enjoying life under new Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou and has been leaning towards staying, but it’s unclear how this development will shape things.

Kane is entering the final year of his contract in north London and Spurs are keen to tie him down to a new deal if he ends up rejecting Bayern’s proposal.

The England skipper is the all-time leading scorer for both his club and country, but trails Alan Shearer (260) to break the Premier League‘s record and is 47 adrift at 213 – at just 29-years-old, it would likely only take him another two seasons in England’s top-flight to surpass the Newcastle legend.

He is yet to win a major trophy in his professional career and he would have the best chance of success in the Bundesliga, considering Bayern Munich have won the last 11 league titles in a row.

Kane scored the most match-winning goals in the Premier League last season and is widely regarded as one of the best strikers on the planet, but he could be ready for a new challenge.
