Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is reportedly keen on signing Juventus striker, Dusan Vlahovic, as the Serbian looks to leave Italy this summer.

The Blues are set to continue their transfer business in the coming days, after agreeing a deal for Axel Disasi this morning, as Pochettino has identified his preferred striking option.

Dusan Vlahovic has attracted a lot of attention this summer, with Tottenham Hotspur, PSG and Chelsea all keen on acquiring the Serbian’s services.

Since signing for the Old Lady in January 2022, the 23-year-old striker has scored 23 goals in 63 matches and has struggled to find the form he showed at Fiorentina.

Despite scoring 10 goals in the Serie A this season, Vlahovic’s future in Turin has been put into question with supporters expecting more from the £62.5m signing.

The possibility of leaving the club has seen a huge increase following Juventus’ exclusion from European football, due to a series of financial breaches.

Pochettino has reportedly demanded an additional striker, despite signing Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, meaning Vlahovic could help following a poor 2022-23 campaign for the Blues.

Chelsea had a catastrophic campaign, as they finished 12th in the Premier League and recorded the lowest points tally in the club’s history.

Former Brighton manager, Graham Potter, was hired in September and was sacked after just six-months following a poor run of results.

His replacement, Frank Lampard, was unable to improve life at Stamford Bridge and the Blues ended the season without a single victory over any side in the top six.

This poor performance has made summer signings a priority, as Chelsea are reportedly set to continue their huge spending that saw them bring in over £500m worth of players in the last two windows.

Being the biggest spenders over recent windows may be pivotal when agreeing a deal for Vlahovic, as the Serbia international has three years remaining on his current contract.
