That is according to Spanish outlet Sport, who report that Unai Emery is a long-time admirer of his compatriot. The former Manchester City winger has proven Premier League experience after impressing under Pep Guardiola, but his dream move to Catalonia is yet to kick on.

With Ollie Watkins supported by new signing Moussa Diaby potentially Torres, Villa would have a European-level front three worthy of competing for a top six spot, and in the Europa League for the upcoming season.

Barcelona’s dire economic circumstances could make this an accessible deal, but as mentioned, the chances of him leaving rest on the club’s other ongoing business.
