Leeds In Talks With Chelsea Over Ethan Ampadu Move

Ampadu already has plenty of experience under his belt and would be a welcome edition to Leeds, who were relegated to the Championship last season.

The 22-year-old has had his fair share of football considering his age. Ampadu has made over 100 appearances across some of Europe’s top leagues, where he has had loan spells at RB Leipzig, Sheffield United, Venezia and most recently Spezia.

Not only that, Ampadu has also been capped 43 times by Wales and started every game in the World Cup in Qatar last year, prior to their exit in the group stage.

The Welshman has never really been able to get a chance at Chelsea, and has played just 12 times for the club since joining in 2017.

Ampadu has been subject to interest from clubs in the Premier League, Italy and Spain but it is Leeds who seem to be leading the race at this moment in time.

With just one year left on his deal at Stamford Bridge, the Blues are open to selling him for around £12million.

Ian Maatsen is another Chelsea youngster that could be on the move. Burnley are looking to sign him permanently after he impressed on loan last season.
