Lucas Hernandez Signs For PSG From Bayern Munich

The France international will join the Ligue 1 champions on a five-year deal. PSG will pay €40m plus add-ons for the 27-year-old, however Bayern wanted more for the defender.

Hernandez agreed personal terms with the French giants back in May, and the deal has finally been confirmed.

He spoke to the media about the move.

“I’m really excited! I’ve been waiting to join PSG for a long time, and it’s finally happened. It’s a very special day for me and I’m very happy to be here,”

PSG confirmed the move on Sunday.

Hernandez only made 11 appearances last season after sustaining a nasty injury at the World Cup in Qatar at the end of last year.

The 27-year-old was born in France but has never played for a French side before. He grew up in Spain and joined Bayern from Atletico Madrid for €80m in 2019.

He has won four Bundesliga titles with the club and a Champions League title in 2020. Hernandez also has a World Cup title to his name after winning the tournament with France in 2018.

It has been a busy summer for PSG so far with Milan Skriniar and Marco Asensio joining on free transfers. Meanwhile Manuel Ugarte and Kang-in Lee have also arrived in Paris.

The club also appointed former Spain and Barcelona coach Luis Enrique as their new manager.
