Newcastle Re-Join Race To Sign Harvey Barnes

The Magpies join Tottenham, West Ham and Aston Villa in the race to sign Barnes. The Foxes winger has plenty of Premier League experience under his belt and has been a key member of the Leicester side since making his breakthrough in 2018.

While Barnes’ next club remains to be unknown, he has attracted plenty of interest. The winger has made 143 top flight appearances over the last five seasons and has netted 35 goals in the process with 25 assists.

Due to Leicester’s relegation to the Championship, they were always expected to lose individuals ahead of life in the second tier.

They have already lost James Maddison to Spurs for £40m, with Leicester expected to want a similar amount for Barnes.

The Harvey Barnes next club odds have been changing for most of the summer so far, with rumours flying around about his next move.

Aston Villa and West Ham are known to have both made contact with the Foxes over Barnes. Both sides will be playing European football next season with the Villans in the Conference League and the Hammers in the Europa League.

However, with Newcastle playing in the Champions League next season, Eddie Howe is keen to bolster his squad with top talent. Barnes could be tempted by the prospects of playing in the competition over the other European competitions he has already played in.
