Tottenham Hotspur are open to midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg leaving this summer with interest coming from La Liga side Atletico Madrid.

Spurs Open To Sale Of Hojbjerg

There has been no official contact between Spurs and Atletico or any other club but the Spanish side are known to be admirers of the Denmark international and are showing interest.

Hojbjerg has two years left on his deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after signing in the summer of 2020. However with Spurs certainly having plenty of central midfield options, Hojbjerg could be on the move in the near future.

The 27-year-old played all but one of Spurs’ Premier League games up to mid-May, but wasn’t in the squad for the final two games of the season.

The North London side have started their expected summer rebuild under new boss Ange Postecoglou after a disappointing eighth-place finish last season.

James Maddison joined from Leicester City earlier this week, while goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has also arrived from Serie A side Empoli. Spurs also made the clever decision to make Dejan Kulusevski’s loan move permanent.

Harry Winks is another midfielder who looks to be leaving with a move to Leicester edging closer.

Bayern Munich are also pushing to sign Harry Kane and have already had a bid worth £60m rejected. Kane is heading into the final year of his contract at Spurs and has been subject to interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United as well as Bayern.
